Our Journey

Rooted in Life. Guided by Purpose.

Listening to Life — creating new paths towards living and working differently.

Jose Leal

Radical World was born from a persistent question: Is there a way to live, work, and organize that better honors Life?

Our Story

Our journey began in 2018, when we started asking whether there was a better way to live, work, and organize — one that actually honored the needs of living beings rather than demanding they adapt to systems.

That question led us to build. We created One Life — a social, relational, and collaborative platform designed to move beyond transactional interactions — and EvolveOrg, an organizational operating system that aimed to replace rigid hierarchies with something more alive and responsive.

A Radical Perspective

As we built, we developed the Radical Purpose Dynamic — a lens for understanding how purpose, people, and practice can move together without force. This work eventually became the foundation for the co-authored book Radical Companies: Without Bosses and Employees.

We later founded Society 2045, a research initiative to study social movements and patterns of change. Through that work, we identified Six Transformational Patterns appearing across work, community, and life — the recurring shapes through which people find their way to something more coherent and alive.

A Realization

Over time, we began to question our own approach. Were we simply replacing one set of narratives with another — offering new frameworks that people would eventually be asked to adapt to, just as they had adapted to the old ones?

That question led to a shift. Rather than continuing to prescribe, we began to listen. The result was Serving Life: A Study on Our Journey to a Radical World — an exploration of what it means to let Life lead, and to build from there.

Why We Exist

We exist to rebalance Life and Story. To move away from control and towards coherence — from systems that demand adaptation, to patterns that emerge from what living beings actually need.

We believe the world we live in was organized through stories. And that those stories can change — not by replacing them with better ones, but by learning to see them as tools, and stewarding them so they serve life rather than the other way around.
